Discover the Ritual of Aperitivo

I host wine tastings that embrace the ritual of Aperitivo—collective joy, culture and connection.

/ ə’pɛrɪtiːvo /

Deriving from the Latin word aperire, meaning, “to open.”

A centuries-old tradition.

A light drink accompanied by small snacks to end one’s workday and begin the evening.

Typically taken as a bitter or low-alcohol beverage to stimulate the appetite, enjoyed in the company of friends during sunset.

The most awaited time of day!

“Working with Sheri and hiring her for an event is a must. She creates a warm environment, is so knowledgeable about wine, and really takes the time to share about the wines. She presents in a way that is understandable, enjoyable, and fun!”

MY PHILOSOPHY

I like to think we should drink wine for the season and pair it with local & seasonal ingredients whenever possible.

Having practiced yoga for almost twenty years, I believe in the principles of Ayurveda (the sister school of yoga).

Ayurveda says we should live and eat for the season, trying to maintain balance.

Rituals foster longer, happier, healthier lives. Invite in the ritual of Aperitivo.

my INTENTION

As your guide

I’m here to provide culture, build community, honor tradition and cultivate joy!

CULTURE

With many European vineyard visits under my belt, I am passionate about offering cultural wine tastings that ensure a high level of time-honored education.

community

My current tastings and upcoming brick-and-mortar space bring people together. Attendees feel connected to the interpersonal introductions I facilitate and align with the relaxed, inclusive nature of Aperitivo.

tradition

I am committed to providing historical context and bringing people back in time – both through an informed wine selection and an emphasis on simple, memorable experiences that we share with ancient civilizations.

joy

I want you to feel connected to your innate, authentic, blissful self through the light-hearted journey my wine tastings will bring you on.

“We’ve attended multiple events with Sheri and she has broadened our wine horizons and introduced us to new varietals and regions. From a private wine dinner to a holiday showcase event, it is very clear how passionate Sheri is about wine.”
